• Saints struggle to continue their outstanding early season performances on a sunny day in Livingston where the plastic pitch prevents any sort of footballing spectacle from either side.
• Mikael Mandron misses the match through injury as does back-up keeper Peter Urminsky, meaning Gallagher Lennon and 16 year old Shay Kelly are promoted to the bench.
• Despite a positive start to the match by Saints, the play descends into a scrappy and untidy affair only livened up late in the match when VAR correctly cancels out a Bruce Anderson goal for the hosts on the 75th minute for offside.
• Saints have no such reprieve in the last minute of the regulation 90 mins when Luiyi de Lucas knocks home following slack defending from a free kick.
• Deep into added on time, substitute Stav Nahmani takes advantage of a rare opportunity in the league so far this season when he swoops to head home a Gogic knock back. This is the Israeli’s third of the season and is averaging a goal every 44 minutes in his fledgling Paisley career at this point.
• This goal puts Saints back to the top of the table, however they can not remain there once the three matches scheduled for the following day are completed and eventually finish the weekend third.
