Welcome to Cairters Corner, an unofficial site dedicated to St. Mirren FC based in the town of Paisley in the West of Scotland.
The club was formed in 1877 and are founder members of the second oldest league competition in the world, The Scottish Football League. Saints are one of only four Scottish clubs to have played in every season of organised league football since its inception in 1890, the others being Celtic, Dumbarton and Hearts.
This site is dedicated to the club through the eyes of one supporter and includes regular blogs on the progress of the team, but also looks at the past and the deep history not only of Saints but of football in the town, including a look at Abercorn FC and Dykebar FC, two once prominent clubs who didn’t survive the early cull of a number of clubs in Scotland.
Also included are various statistics both current and historic about St Mirren and Scottish football going back to the 1870’s.

Hello friends.
This is a really terrific site and not only for St Mirren supporters. I hope you don’t mind but I have dipped into your article about James Dunlop for a piece on https://www.thepurpleyin.com/history with full acknowledgement given to Cairter’s Corner.
I hope this is OK with you. If not, please let me know and I’ll remove it from my site.
All the best
Chris
